Our Story

In 2018, Ranno Käomägi set out to solve the challenges he saw firsthand in his elder brother’s construction company: scattered information, delays, and constant coordination struggles on-site.

He joined forces with Toomas Savisaar, who had spent years renting construction tools and managing construction sites in Estonia and Norway. Together with a small team in Tartu, they began building a mobile-first platform to make managing crews and tools simple and connected.

The first version quickly found its way into the hands of builders in Estonia and Finland. Word spread, and by 2020 more than 150 companies were using it – enough momentum to earn the title of Most Outstanding Startup in Tartu.

Support from early investors, including Superangel in 2019 and Passion Capital in 2021, gave the team the fuel to grow, refine the platform, and expand to new markets.

In 2023, Remato launched Construction Site Management, a new solution designed for main contractors, and introduced its first hardware product, the BOX, enabling real-time site access, check-in tracking, and workforce visibility.

Today, thousands of builders rely on Remato to keep projects on track and free from the usual chaos. Since 2025, the platform is expanding into Poland and other international markets, bringing its field-first approach to construction teams worldwide.
